About Circle K International

Circle K International is a collegiate community service, leadership development, and fellowship organization with over 13,250 members worldwide. Based on the tenets of service, leadership and fellowship, CKI develops college and university students into responsible citizens and leaders who have a lifelong commitment to service. CKI clubs are organized on a university campus and sponsored by a local Kiwanis club. It is a self-governing organization and elects its own officers, conducts its own meetings, and determines its own service activities.

Circle K blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet many other college students at service projects, conferences, and conventions and form genuine lifelong friendships with people of all walks of life. Projects such as the Six Cents Initiative, CKI’s International fundraiser that aims to provide water to the 2.2 billion children worldwide who lack safe drinking water, bring CKI members together to make a difference in the world.

INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

Circle K is an international collegiate community service organization
with over 13,000 members worldwide
in 19 countries including Canada, Nigeria, Taiwan and many more.
Our club falls under Subregion B.

DISTRICT LEVEL

There are 32 Districts that comprise CKI International and our district is the California-Nevada-Hawaii District. Clubs within the boundaries of California, Nevada, and Hawaii work to achieve common goals and district-wide service initiatives and come together multiple times during the year at conferences, conventions, and large scale projects (see "events" page). This gives members the opportunity to work closely with and get to know many different people, not just those at their own school. The divisions within the California-Nevada-Hawaii District include:

Capital
Central Coast
Foothill
Desert Oasis
Golden Gate
Magic Kingdom

Metro
Paradise
Sunset

DIVISIONAL LEVEL

Clubs within the same basic geographic area (divisions) work together on larger projects. Our club falls under Metro Division. The other schools under Metro Divsion include:
  • California State University, Northridge (CSUN)
  • California State University, Long Beach (CSULB)
  • El Camino College (ECC)
  • University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
  • University of Southern California (USC)
  • Pierce College
  • Loyola Marymount University (LMU)
  • LA Harbor College (LAHC)

CLUB LEVEL

Each club works closely with their school and local community in planning and implementing projects that best serve the needs of that particular area. Each club is run by a president, vice precident(s), secretary, and treasurer. Our club is the CSUDH CKI!

CIRCLE K TENETS

Fellowship
Members work together to plan service projects. They take part in conferences and conventions, receive grants and scholarships and make friends with fellow CKI members from around the world.

Service
CKI members embrace the organization’s motto – live to serve, love to serve – by collectively performing more than 1 million service hours annually on their
campuses and in their communities. Members also work with CKI’s official service partners: Better World Books, March of Dimes, Students Team Up to Fight Hunger and UNICEF.
